THE SUCCESS OF ANY TEAM STARTS WITH THE INDIVIDUAL
South Bay Hoops was founded in 2022 upon the belief that all young athletes are capable of reaching their full potential by taking responsibility for their own individual performance. Our goal at SB Hoops is to provide a platform for players to get the level of attention, repetition, and feedback that they need to grow.

OUR TIERS
Each player is taken through group/individualized sessions incorporating technique, conditioning, and mental approach, helping to instill skill and confidence.
FOUNDATION: AGES 6–10
The intent of these sessions is to emphasize good technique in each drill, helping to instill a solid skill base at a young age. Through success, each player will gain confidence and begin to build a love for the game.
SESSION GOALS
High repetitions (footwork, dribbling, passing, and close range shooting)
Speed, agility, and coordination drills
REFINE: AGES 10-14
The purpose of this level is to focus on each aspect with high repetition and attention to detail in order for the player to learn to execute their skills at game speed. This will enable the player to perform innately and channel more focus toward the tactical side of the game.
SESSION GOALS
Drills to promote quick reaction, decision-making, and on court vision
Implement injury prevention stretches, speed, agility, and explosion
To extend shooting range while maintaining good technique

This level of development will push the player using more complex drills to fine tune their skill level. The player will also learn more complicated aspects of the high school team game, which will give them the confidence and understanding to be successful in a more structured and tactical environment. At the completion of this level, each player should have the ingrained confidence to execute in all situations due to a well rounded game.
